Travel Partnerships Advisor

As a part of the Travel and Loyalty Platforms group, the primary function of this role is to support multiple travel partnerships, including assisting with the growth, management, and delivery of objectives for new and existing partner relationships. This role will have direct responsibility and influence on the direction and growth of travel partnerships for Air Canada and Aeroplan and will be tasked with amplifying Aeroplan’s value proposition in the marketplace. This role will interact regularly with Air Canada’s Loyalty leadership team and partners to analyze and enhance existing and new travel partnerships and features of the loyalty program. This role will work closely with the Partner Marketing team, the Digital Product team, and the broader Air Canada organization and partnership network by supporting the maintenance and delivery of partnership projects.
This position will be based in Montreal or Toronto and reports to Director, Travel Partnerships & Platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to perform ongoing maintenance and consistent execution of travel partnerships benefits, primarily in the car rental partnership space
- Lead research and analysis for enhancements to existing partnerships, including value prop changes and experience changes
- Actively engage in business case analysis and commercial modeling to ensure partnerships drive profitability, customer engagement and sustained growth of the loyalty program
- Develop both historic looking and forward projecting models to predict commercial impact of proposed loyalty initiatives
- Use data models to analyze ongoing customer, operational and revenue management data to identify areas for program optimization
- Conduct ongoing market and industry research, analyze performance trends and customer behavior patterns, across travel and loyalty industry to ensure our partner product portfolio remains relevant and engaging
- Conduct ongoing validation of travel partnerships content and manage updates or content changes when necessary
- Participate in ongoing account management with partners to ensure overall alignment between partnership goals
- Work with Air Canada’s Digital Product and IT teams to develop new partnerships features, and resolve technical issues related to partnership management
- Work with our Aeroplan Partner Marketing and CRM teams to develop focused and relevant campaigns with these partnerships to promote activation and long-term member engagement
- Manage marketing partnership operations, including creation of marketing program codes and promotional Terms and Conditions
- Support post campaign and post launch analysis for travel offers.
- Collaborate with Aeroplan Finance team for financial matters for the portfolio of partners
- Collaborate with partners and internal customer care professionals to investigate and resolve inquires and escalations from members on partnerships
- Own ad-hoc research projects, gather industry insights, compare benefits programs and develop recommendations on travel partnerships initiatives
Qualifications
- University or college degree, preferably in business, marketing, finance, or related field
- 3 years of professional experience, preferably in the airline and/or loyalty sectors
- Curiosity and interest in developing a career in the aviation and loyalty industry
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate opportunities and challenges effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong customer focus, with a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, communicate succinctly, gain consensus and handle multiple deliverables within and across organizations
- Constant desire to drive product optimization with experience on product centric and customer focused product development framework
- Strategic and logical thinker
- Self-starter and ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
- Strong work ethic, able to take tasks, own them and drive them to completion in autonomous fashion
- Team player with proven ability to prioritize, organize, manage time and multi-task with excellent attention to detail
- Thrives in a high-volume, agile, and fast-paced environment within a high-performance, results-oriented, passionate, and dynamic team
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Bilingual English / French preferred
