The Materials Supervisor is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines.
This position reports to the Materials Manager and is part of the Materials team located in Cortland NY and is an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Plans, directs, and supervises Warehouse personnel and supervisor of the shipping and receiving operations including leading and conducting safety stand down meetings to ensure and promote safety culture.
- Monitors the effectiveness of the cycle count program and institutes required corrective actions to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Maintains and trains personnel on the operating procedures governed under the warehouse, receiving, shipping operations.
- Supervises the utilization of reporting personnel. Facilitates high performance behaviors, skills, and competencies. Utilizes business processes and performance measurements to focus and align production priorities.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvements to achieve cycle time reductions and reduce labor content.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Minimum Associates degree in a related field with minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations or related experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
- Proficient in the use Microsoft suite and SAP
- Knowledge of filter hardware preferred
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete projects when directed
- Flexible in working off-shifts, as needed
Experience working in a union environment is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $98,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
