Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Assistive Technology Specialist (AAC) | 2 Days per Week | 2026-2027 School Year

Location: Glenview, IL
Schedule: Part-Time | 2 Days per Week | Onsite
School Year: August 12, 2026 – May 21, 2027
Pay: $46-$57 per hour

Position Details

  • Part-time position (approximately 15 hours per week)

  • 2 days per week

  • Onsite

  • School year: August 12, 2026 – May 21, 2027

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Serve students from PreK through High School

  • Specialized role focused on Assistive Technology and AAC

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistive technology and AAC evaluations and recommendations

  • Support students using AAC devices and communication systems

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, occupational therapists, and other related service providers

  • Train school staff and families on AAC implementation and best practices

  • Assist with programming, troubleshooting, and monitoring communication devices

  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide documentation related to assistive technology services

  • Help ensure students have the communication tools they need to succeed both academically and socially

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Illinois SLP licensure, if applicable

  • Experience with AAC and assistive technology is preferred, but clinicians with a strong interest in this specialty are encouraged to apply

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
