Position Overview
Prep Academy Tutors of Los Angeles is seeking qualified, dedicated, and compassionate Elementary Teachers and Tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 throughout the Northern Los Angeles area.
Our educators work closely with students to strengthen foundational academic skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of learning. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about helping elementary students reach their full potential through individualized instruction tailored to each child's unique learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (Kindergarten through Grade 6)
- Support students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core elementary subjects
- Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and foundational learning strategies
- Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred
- Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent is highly preferred
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States

Minimum Requirements
Qualified applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a valid California teaching credential (Multiple Subject preferred) or equivalent
- Be a current student teacher pursuing a teaching credential
- Have two or more years of experience teaching elementary students in a public, private, or charter school
- Have significant experience providing one-on-one or small-group tutoring for elementary students
- Be a graduate student in education or a related field with teaching or instructional experience
