Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Operations & Performance Admin Engineer to join the talabat mart (tMart) team. This hybrid role bridges technical facilities management with data-driven operational performance administration. On the engineering side, you will oversee the maintenance, procurement support, and supplier supervision for dark store facilities, ensuring critical infrastructure like cold chain systems (chillers/freezers) and electrical networks remain fully operational. On the administration side, you will dedicate focus to monitoring, tracking, and reporting the operational health of the dark stores, reviewing ground-level efficiency metrics, and delivering structured compliance dashboards to ensure seamless 30-minute delivery execution.

What’s On Your Plate?

Engineering & Facilities Management:

  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Proactively identify, diagnose, and manage the maintenance and repair needs of essential store infrastructure, including industrial chillers, freezers, HVAC/AC systems, electrical distribution networks, and general facilities.

  • Procurement Documentation: Formulate highly accurate and detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for new equipment purchases, facility upgrades, and engineering services.

  • Supplier Supervision: Supervise on-site third-party contractors and service providers during engineering installations, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs, enforcing strict quality and safety standards.

  • Handover & Receiving: Conduct technical inspections and serve as the final authority for the formal receiving and handover of newly executed engineering projects, facilities, or physical assets.

Performance Administration:

  • Real-Time Order Flow Monitoring: Maintain a regular order-flow monitoring schedule on the Shopper platform, and actively inform the relevant store team via communication groups in case of any delays in assigning or preparing orders.

  • Nightly Sales Tracking: Create and publish structured sales update tables every night at 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 11:00 PM, and 12:15 AM to keep the team informed on performance milestones.

  • Picker Performance Analytics: Check picker performance at the granular order level, calculate efficiency averages, and prepare comprehensive reports to help team leaders optimize speed and accuracy.

  • Customer Feedback Administration: Follow up with the account advisor to aggregate, categorize, and report back on direct customer feedback to identify service delivery bottlenecks.

  • Operational Sheet Management: Maintain and systematically update the central operations Google Sheet for all immediate store-level updates, operational tracking parameters, and system notifications.

  • In-App Quality Control Audits: Perform weekly systematic audits of images on the talabat App, flagging discrepancies, and proactively uploading missing visual assets to guarantee catalog completeness.

  • Barcode Error Tracking: Identify and log non-working barcodes using the specialized operations tracking sheet to minimize order picking delays.

  • Store Invoice & Compliance Audits: Monitor, track, and verify the physical and digital invoices uploaded directly by the store branches to ensure operational data integrity.

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a highly related technical field, combined with at least 3+ years of experience across data tracking, performance reporting, facilities engineering, or administrative operations.

  • Technical Facility Skills: Strong hands-on or supervisory experience identifying maintenance needs for commercial refrigeration (chillers/freezers), HVAC networks, and electrical systems. Proven ability to draft professional SOW and BOQ documents.

  • Analytical & Tooling Proficiency: Highly data-oriented and structured, with an advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel. Comfortable managing high-volume operational dashboards and catching subtle metric anomalies.

  • Execution & Communication: Strong communication and reporting skills to seamlessly present daily facilities statuses and weekly performance summaries directly to Operations Management.
