Job description

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting Halton Healthcare’s information systems by planning, implementing, monitoring, and supporting security technologies across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, ICT Operations and Security, this role plays a key part in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all digital assets.

The Analyst leads and supports the development and maintenance of the organization’s cybersecurity program, including security policies, procedures, risk assessments, and compliance activities. This role acts as a technical advisor for security requirements across operational and capital projects, working closely with internal stakeholders, clinical teams, and external partners.

Key responsibilities include deploying and maintaining security tools, monitoring for threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting remediation efforts. The Cybersecurity Analyst also stays current with emerging threats and technologies, provides guidance to ICT leadership, and contributes to security awareness initiatives across the organization.

  • Information Technology Degree or equivalent education/work experience required
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity operations in a complex ICT environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of access control, network security, and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, malware protection, encryption, filtering is required.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft operating systems, TCP/IP, and WAN/LAN/Wireless networks.
  • Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security monitoring.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001/27002) and relevant privacy/security legislation.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, or GSEC is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts, with on-call (Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $44.675 to $ to $55.844 per hour
