Job Description

Who we are looking for

State Street Investment Management (SSIM) is the fourth largest asset management firm globally. Global Funds Management is responsible for all treasury, fund administration, and reporting for our registered and unregistered funds globally.  This includes valuation, board liaison and reporting, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, NAV oversight ,expense accruals, service provider oversight, new product. As such we are looking to fill a Senior Analyst role responsible for oversight of our Alternative Investment Products.  Candidates must evidence experience in the financial service industry with an expertise in complex accounting structures and asset classes, including; Cayman funds, bank loans, CLOs structure, private equity and private credit.  Demonstrated experience with Alternative Investment regulatory reporting is a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate a continuous improvement and innovation mindset and be technologically savvy.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. Currently, 3 days/week are required to work in the office.

What you will be responsible for

As an  Alternative Investment Oversight Senior Analyst you will be involved in;

  • Day to day oversight of the firm’s Alternative Investment products.

  • Daily review and perform independent reconciliations between custodian, middle office and fund administrator.

  • Action on any breaks by communicating directly with custodian/middle office/administrator to resolve.

  • Review of daily and monthly NAV packages provided by the fund administrator.

  • Daily and monthly funds expense accruals management against budgets.

  • Invoices payments to the service providers - Involves wire processing.

  • Calculating and reviewing daily and monthly yields of the funds.

  • Time to time support of quarterly regulatory reporting mandated by the SEC and NFA in conjunction with regulatory reporting team..

  • Manage Prime Broker and Fund Administrator relationships.

  • Coordinate Board meetings and attend the meetings.

  • Coordinate weekly meetings with external Vendors such as Custody, Fund Administrator, Middle office, loans settlement teams.

  • Third parties Oversight.

  • Drive product implementation and change management by working with key stakeholders across SSIM to manage and oversee end-to-end project activities with the Private Funds such as scope and requirements definition, solutioning, estimation and planning, and execution.

  • Ability to self-reflect and critically review processes on an ongoing basis.

  • Ability to take ownership of the processes, and add value to it.

  • High level communication skills – English proficiency required.

  • Previous hedge/private fund accounting experience.

  • Understanding of the bank loans trade settlement process.

  • Understanding of the CLOs financial instruments.

  • A good understanding of digital assets will be a valuable asset.

  • A proper understanding of reconciliations between Custody, Middle office and Fund Administration.

  • Detailed understanding of the fund expense accruals and payments.

  • Willingness to learn and assist in areas that may fall outside of the team

  • Ability to initiate, effectively manage and improve relationships, both within the firm and with peers throughout the organization and industry.

  • A team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly growing fast paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities with deadlines.

  • Understanding of technology (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation)

  • Ability to work on-site at least 3 days a week.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial services

  • Bank loan experience, important to have

  • CLOs experience is a plus is possessed

  • Deadline oriented

  • Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and IRS standards as they apply to investment companies, partnerships and other fund structures.

Minimum Salary:

zł132,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
