JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Davenport, IA Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a–7a, 7–10 shifts per month Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 30 minutes Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Rounding: Yes Case Mix: Orthopedic Trauma FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup Available: Orthopedic subspecialties (total joint, spine, hand, podiatry) Support Staff Available: Nursing and APP support in OR PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Orthopedic trauma surgeries and same-day add-ons. Total joint procedures are not required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in Orthopaedic Surgery Licenses: Active IA and IL License; Universal License (IMLC) Experience: Fellowship trained in Orthopedics; Must be experienced Other Qualifications: Willing to work at both Davenport and Silvis campuses; Clean malpractice/background (self-query NPDB required) Duties & Responsibilities Provide orthopedic trauma coverage at Davenport and Silvis campuses Perform emergency and scheduled orthopedic trauma surgeries Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation (7a–7a) with 30-minute response time Manage inpatient orthopedic trauma cases Collaborate with nursing and APP support in the OR
