Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Quality Assurance Clerk position in the Tulsa Operations Quality Department. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will provide administrative support.
Essential Functions:
- Perform general administrative duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, mailing, filing, emailing and responding to and delivering communications
- Review, compare, analyze and approve data against specifications
- Maintain accurate records for inspection records, scrap, rework, and field claims
- Issue corrective actions requests in conjunction with field claims
- Prepare and issue certification reports to customers or inspection agencies
- Buy America and Material Testing Reports
- Identify trends and escapes from Fitters, Welders, Inspectors and defect types
- Cut logs and 589’s
- Create pareto charts and understanding root cause analysis by tracking Yellow Card data
- Keeping calendar for 3rd party inspection schedules and audits
- Answering correspondence as it pertains to quality data request
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- High School diploma and 1+ year experience in an administrative role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and Outlook
- Experience maintaining an electronic and manual filing system
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and the ability to enter and file data with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working with many different individuals and multiple priorities
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
- 1 year experience in a quality administrative role
- Working knowledge of IFS
- The ability to interpret quality specifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is performed in a factory setting, with most of the time being spent moving around different areas of manufacturing and shipping areas. The incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. This position will be exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heat/cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with the manufacturing areas, fire, smoke, unstable debris and confined spaces. Environment is fast-paced and demanding most of the time.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrist rests. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds in working with large files, binders, computer equipment and shop equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
