In this role, you will be instrumental in the Exterior Department, using your skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control, VINFAST's suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Lighting Manager to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of automotive lighting systems. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with design and engineering departments, and ensuring lighting products meet all technical, aesthetic, safety, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive lighting technologies, project management, and team leadership. • Lead the design, development, and validation of automotive lighting systems (headlamps, taillamps, interior lighting, etc.) • Oversee lighting product life cycles from concept through production launch. • Collaborate with suppliers, and internal departments to define requirements and ensure on-time delivery. • Ensure compliance with global automotive lighting regulations and standards (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, SAE). • Coordinate with styling and engineering teams to integrate lighting solutions into vehicle platforms. • Manage lighting budgets, timelines, resources, and performance metrics. • Evaluate and implement new lighting technologies (e.g., LED, OLED, laser, adaptive lighting). • Mentor and lead a team of lighting engineers and designers. • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for lighting system issues. • Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews and customer meetings. • Prepare standards, design guidelines and lessons learned documents. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 9+ years of experience in automotive lighting design and development. • Strong knowledge of lighting technologies, regulations, and manufacturing processes. • Proven leadership and project management skills. • Experience working with CAD, simulation tools, and lighting software (e.g., CATIA, LightTools, LucidShape). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams. • Experience working with global automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. • Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture and CAN/LIN communication protocols. • Knowledge of thermal management, optics, and material selection for lighting components Benefits Competitive salary Premium healthcare package, including PVI insurance & annual health check-upsPerformance bonuses to reward your contributions Enjoy preferential pricing for services within the Vingroup ecosystem including Vinmec, Vinpearl, and Vinschool...
