We are looking for Test Engineer to our R&D and Product Management team.

Location: Kuopio, Finland

Purpose of the Position

As a Test Engineer at Junttan, you will be an integral member of an agile, high‑performing team responsible for design and validates electrics, hydraulics and automation our advanced machine control systems. A central part of this role is working internal and external stakeholders to ensure product and software quality.

About the Role

In this position, you will get to work with state-of-the-art digital twins and physical machines. You will contribute to the ensure quality of machine control and automation solutions used in Junttan piling equipment. You will work closely with software designers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality of the features for machines to our customers. A significant part of the role involves understanding and optimizing hydraulic and automation systems behavior within real‑time control environments.

Main Duties

Design and implement test environments.

Design and develop test plans and test cases based on specification

Execute and document test runs.

Analyze issues and report defects

Validate user manuals

Support sales, manufacturing, supply, and service teams with technical expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Base level software development skills

Base level understanding of hydraulic, electric and mechanical systems

Base level understanding of CAN bus–based machine control systems

Knowledge of ALM tools (e.g Polarion, Jira)

Excellent communication skills

Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

Attention to detail

Bachelor's degree of Applied Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Fluency in English and Finnish, and readiness to travel.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Experience CAN bus–based machine control systems and a solid understanding of mobile hydraulics.

Knowledge of networking protocols: CANOpen, TCP/IP, MQTT.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with simulation environments: Mevea, Matlab/Simulink.

Proficiency in Rust, IEC 61131‑3/CodeSys, C.

Experience with Git.
