Position Summary
Planner/Procurement Lead is responsible for end-to-end supply planning, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and procurement strategy. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and supplier capabilities to optimize inventory levels, service performance, and cost efficiency based on global demand forecasts and changing demand needs. The Planner/Procurement Lead will monitor adherence to forecasts, communicating and managing changes affecting customer deliveries, quality, and inventory position
Key Responsibilities
Supply & Production Planning
Partner with internal stakeholders to align global demand forecasts
Develop and manage production schedules based on demand and capacity constraints
Communicate production plans, updates, and execution performance to stakeholders
Procurement & Supplier Management
Plan and execute procurement of raw materials and components
Raise purchase orders to support manufacturing needs and on-time delivery
Track material availability and mitigate supply risks proactively
Support cost optimization through supplier collaboration and sourcing strategies
Logistics & Execution
Track and manage sample and bulk shipments across the supply chain
Coordinate global material exports and liaise with logistics and clearing agents
Generate work orders, coordinate BMR generation, labeling, and manage commodity purchases
Escalate supply or availability risks to site leadership and global stakeholders
Systems & Continuous Improvement
Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle, SFDC) to manage supply pipelines
Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns, and OTIF
Lead or support S&OP / IBP processes
Develop reporting and identify gaps to achieving demand plans and drive continuous improvement (PPI)
General Activities
Follow all WHS procedures and policies, report potential hazards and provide input into the resolution of WHS hazards / issues.
Demonstrate the companies' 4i Values in all interactions with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Support the efficient and effective operation of the business by supporting other tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
3+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain planning
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Knowledge of import/export regulations (Brazil preferred)
Experience in a highly regulated industry
Strong ability to work in a matrix organization and cross-functional environment
Proven decision-making skills in complex and ambiguous situations
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and MS Office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
