Job description

As a Marie Curie Bank Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs for patients in a palliative care setting, helping them live with dignity and comfort.

You’ll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidence-based practice, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC Code and Marie Curie policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and those important to them
 

Salary: £16.40 - £19.97 per hour Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC)  per annum + enhancements 

Hours/Contract: Bank Contract – Flexible hours to suit service requirements

What are we looking for?

  • RGN Level 1 Registration with the NMC
  • Recent post-registration nursing experience
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative and end-of-life care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A compassionate, flexible and patient-centred approach to care
