Junior Specialist- Accounts Payable

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As a Junior Specialist- AP, you are responsible for the daily operations of the designated areas of Accounts Payable processes by ensuring that the processes are handled in a timely manner. You develop and improve our way-of-working with AP processes and are responsible for enabling efficient collaboration to facilitate global support in an optimized manner.

Key Responsibilities 

• Make sure and execute the daily operation in an efficient way within the accounts payable area according to the AP SLA including but not limited to Validation
• Invoice handling including PO and NPO
• Inquiry management
• Overdue invoices
• Handle reminders, interest invoices, and debt collections
• Invoice cost assignment including VAT determination
• Vendor master data management
• Payment operation including exception list handling
• Other AP related designated areas such us, but not limited to, gl account reconciliation, chart of account administration, reporting, expense handling, cash out from tills.
• Ensure you have a back-up person on unplanned and planned leaves
• Ensure quality within your area through guidance of other accounting department and functions.
• Ensure that necessary information is received and shared with your colleagues
• Take responsibility for your own increased understanding and knowledge about the processes and routines within H&M.

• Ability to maintain a good network with other functions. Know your vendors, end users and user groups.

We are looking for people with: 

• University degree or higher education within Business Administration (or similar) or equivalent experience within accounting
• This role is tailored for recent graduates or individuals with 0 - 1 year of experience who are eager to contribute to Global Accounting team and embark on a journey of professional growth.  
• A true team player who collaborates, coaches, supports and help others and naturally builds cross-functional networks and relationships.​
• Confident and able to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders including the ability to plan and execute activities clearly​
• Problem solving skills, Ability to analyze process flows and data outputs to recognize steps to perform improvements.​
• Flexible and adaptable – Open minded and always prepared to adopt changes and ability to lead from front for taking challenging tasks. ​
• Decisive and action oriented – Pro-active, solution orientated and driven person​
• Positive mindset and resilience in the face of challenges​
• Responsible for our global guidelines and policies
• Both written and oral English skills are mandatory
• Good communication skills
• Good excel & MS office knowledge
