Job description

In this client-facing Consultant role you will work on a key advisory engagement, collaborating both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver strong client outcomes. Your knowledge and experience in delivering programs and/or advisory services will be critical to shaping and progressing initiatives that drive performance improvements across property portfolios. You will play a key role to identify, structure, and support the delivery of cross-portfolio initiatives, working closely with clients, PMO, and delivery teams to ensure effective implementation and measurable benefits. You will also develop bundling initiative scope sheets, coordinate handover to delivery teams, monitor implementation through regular touchpoints, and establish reporting to track and communicate realised benefits.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Working on exciting and challenging commissions that improve how organisations manage and optimise their real estate portfolios

  • Providing best-practice advice and hands-on support to clients in establishing, transforming and improving portfolio-level programs and initiatives

  • Supporting the identification and assessment of portfolio-wide opportunities to improve cost efficiency and delivery outcomes

  • Facilitating and contributing to structured governance forums, ensuring clear inputs, decisions and actions

  • Translating opportunities into well-defined initiative scopes, including objectives, commercial rationale and delivery approach

  • Supporting the handover of initiatives to delivery teams, ensuring clarity of scope, ownership and intended outcomes

  • Engaging with delivery teams to track progress, manage risks and support resolution of issues

  • Supporting the development of tracking and reporting frameworks, including monitoring of key outcomes and benefits

  • Capturing insights and lessons learned to support continuous improvement and future opportunity identification

  • Working as part of an integrated team; leading workstreams (up to moderate complexity) and delivering key outputs

  • Bachelor degree or other recognised professional qualification in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, engineering, construction, procurement, contract management, project management, project controls or information technology.
  • Ability to provide value-adding advice and hands-on support to clients in real estate, property or asset portfolio environments, particularly across capital works, facilities management or asset optimisation programs

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar consulting role, or relevant experience within real estate, infrastructure or portfolio management environments

  • Sector experience in retail, corporate occupier, or broader private sector environments is preferred, but not required.

  • Understanding of portfolio optimisation approaches, including identifying and structuring cross-asset initiatives to improve cost, efficiency and delivery outcomes

  • Experience working within or alongside PMO or governance environments, including supporting structured forums and decision-making processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to translate opportunities into clear scopes, delivery pathways and success measures

  • Experience supporting performance tracking, reporting and benefits realisation activities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both senior stakeholders and delivery teams
