Job description
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Berklee’s Communications and Marketing team is seeking a Student Graphic Designer to support the Creative team through organization, template design, graphic design projects, and day-to-day production needs. This role is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented student who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep creative projects running smoothly.
The Student Graphic Designer will help update the Berklee branding on a variety of materials, help organize assets, assist on design needs for special projects, assist with project management, and miscellaneous design tasks. Responsibilities include organizing design assets, creating updated branded templates in Canva, assisting with project management in Asana, generating image links for emails and campaigns, creating TV slides, and ensuring accurate representation of the updated Berklee brand.
This is a critical support role as Berklee launches a new brand and website, making accuracy, consistency, and follow-through essential. Students in this role will gain hands-on experience in creative operations and cross-team collaboration, while learning how strong organization and visual systems play a vital role in storytelling, branding, and institutional success.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has graphic design skills and portfolio of work
- Has their own laptop but has flexibility to work onsite at 855 Boylston St
- Is highly organized and reliable
- Is very detail oriented
- Has a flexible schedule
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Enrolled at Berklee during the summer and fall session
- Is comfortable working in project management platforms
- Proficient in Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Has experience using Canva
- Has an eye for photography and composition
- Is passionate about asset management and organization
- Animation Experience in Adobe After Effects strongly desired
- Proficiency is Figma Strongly Desired
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on various design projects as needed
- Create updated branded templates in Canva
- Assist with project management in Asana
- Help organize and maintain design assets using Adobe and Figma
- Upload finished files to shared GoogleDrive (link provided)
