Job description

INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Viera Builders, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of A. Duda and Sons, Inc. is seeking an Interior Design Coordinator with at least 3 years of previous experience who will be primarily responsible for meeting with buyers and prospects for Design Previews, Design Appointments (initial and follow up) as well as administrative support related to appointments. This is a full-time position with a required 5 day work week (including weekends).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct Design Appointments – Meet with buyers for two comprehensive design appointments, each lasting approximately three (3) hours.
  • Provide Design Guidance – Advise buyers on interior design selections, including floor plan functionality, space planning, electrical options, color palettes, cabinetry, flooring, countertops, fixtures, and other available design features and finishes.
  • Manage Buyer Budgets – Assist buyers in making design and option selections while working within established budgets and contractual allowances to maximize value and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate Spec Home Selections – Enter and manage design options and selections for inventory homes as assigned by the Design Manager, ensuring compliance with company standards and timelines.
  • Maintain Documentation Accuracy – Prepare, review, and process all documentation related to Design Previews, Design Appointments, follow-up appointments, and Spec Homes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Support Operational and Administrative Functions – Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership, including facilitating redraw requests, coordinating design-related administrative tasks, supporting process improvements, and contributing to the overall success of the Design Studio.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years design experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in new home construction is preferred
