THE JOB
Under the guidance of the Creative Director, the Art Director will help deploy and elevate the visual identity of Coral Gardeners. This is a hands-on, high-craft role: you bring our brand guidelines to life across every touchpoint, creating compelling content and campaigns that raise awareness and make ocean conservation so beautiful it's impossible to ignore.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Master and apply Coral Gardeners' brand guidelines with precision and consistency across all visuals.
•
Create compelling content and creative campaigns that raise awareness for coral conservation and drive engagement with our mission.
•
Produce high-quality graphic design work across all formats: social content, campaign assets, ads, newsletters, decks, packaging, merch, and partner collateral.
•
Translate creative briefs into engaging, on-brand visual executions that elevate our mission and aesthetic standards.
•
Build and maintain templates, design systems, and reusable assets that ensure brand consistency across the organization.
•
Collaborate with internal teams to support their visual needs while upholding brand standards at every level.
•
Stay ahead of design trends, social formats, and visual culture to keep our outputs fresh, relevant, and platform-native.
REQUIREMENTS
•
5+ years of proven experience in graphic design or art direction, with a strong portfolio.
•
Sharp brand sensitivity and a strong design aesthetic, with the ability to generate original concepts and think outside the box.
•
Exceptional graphic design skills: typography, composition, color theory, and layout, across both digital and print.
•
Proficiency in software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant tools.
•
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their respective creative specs and formats.
•
Experience working with or alongside creative agencies is a strong plus.
•
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a plus.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
•
Passionate about impact-storytelling and ocean conservation.
•
Genuinely nice human being – good vibes only policy.
•
Well balanced between ideator and action-focused.
•
Autonomous and resourceful in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You own your workload and figure things out.
•
Versatile by nature: equally at ease designing a social campaign, a pitch deck, a merch collection, or an office poster.
•
A youthful, trend-aware eye for design, paired with meticulous attention to detail.
•
A strong communicator, receptive to feedback and direction.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Coral Gardeners is in a high-growth phase, and this role grows with it. You'll be joining a passionate, international team at a pivotal moment, with real visibility on your work and genuine opportunities to shape how one of the world's most exciting conservation organizations shows up visually.

•
Environment: Remote-first position, with travel to our headquarters in Moorea, French Polynesia.
