The actual location of this job is in Basel Stücki, Switzerland.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

For our successful Drug Product (DP) focused branch located in Basel and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. What you will do:

  • Carry out analytical studies using the available Forensic Chemistry technologies (e.g., but not limited to: Light microscopy, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy) to support the needs of Lonza's customers and Operation Sites Filling of units (e.g. vials, PFS, bags)

  • Corresponding documentation

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor or Master Matriculation or recent graduation from a university or technical college with a background in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or related fields, candidates with a PhD (or equivalent) cannot be considered for this position

  • Self-motivated with a strong passion for science and interest in pharmaceutical R&D

  • Flexibility, agility, and proactivity with a willingness to learn and execute complex tasks. A very strong team player

  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy; ability to judge plausibility of results

  • Lab work experience is a plus

  • Analytical instrument knowledge is a plus

  • Very good verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English
