Position Summary
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Assistant Director and/or Manager, the Supply Chain Tech I is responsible for assisting with the management of the hospital supply chain. A Supply Chain Tech’s key responsibilities include: evaluating and controlling inventory, including storeroom inventoried supplies and the replenishment of supplies to assigned departments, ensuring that bar code patient charge labels are applied on patient chargeable items and the timely delivery of supplies. Supplies include medical and surgical products, STAT Carts, minor equipment, packages and mail, linen, printed materials. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Experience in inventory and materials management preferred. Knowledge of medical/surgical products and supplies preferred. Basic knowledge in computers preferred.
