We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented leader to take on a key role in further developing KONGSBERG’s global logistics capabilities.

KONGSBERG operates in an international market with demanding requirements for precision, quality, and secure flow of goods. The company is experiencing significant growth and is entering a phase of major investments and development initiatives – including the establishment of a new, future-oriented logistics center.

As Director Global Shipping & Logistics, you will play a central role in ensuring that our global supply chain is robust, scalable, and future-ready , and that critical materials are delivered where they are needed, when they are needed.

About the role

You will have end-to-end responsibility for global shipping and logistics across markets, deliveries, and production sites.

The role requires the ability to combine strategic development with strong operational control , building a logistics framework that supports continued growth and increasing complexity.

You will lead through managers and specialist teams and act as a driving force for standardization, continuous improvement, and professionalization across the organization.

The position is part of the Warehouse & Logistics leadership team and reports to the VP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the global strategy and operating model for shipping and logistics
• Ensure effective performance management through KPIs, governance structures, and processes
• Develop and optimize global transport strategies and supplier frameworks
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement across geographies and business units
• Play a key role in the establishment and implementation of a new logistics center
• Work closely with Trade Compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in operations

You bring

• Solid leadership experience from complex, international organizations
• Proven experience within global logistics, shipping, or supply chain
• A track record of developing structures, processes, and organizations in a growth environment
• The ability to balance structure, pace, and quality in execution
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships across functions and geographies

Experience from regulated industries or environments with high requirements for quality and compliance is considered an advantage.
