Overview
Kemin Biologics is seeking a motivated Area Sales Manager to join our Sub-Saharan Africa Sales team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our vaccine business - focusing on our live and inactivated poultry and cattle vaccines. You’ll play a key role in driving growth, building partnerships, and supporting customers across Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. In this role, you will report directly to the commercial director.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional business plans to drive market access, customer retention, and growth.
- Set annual sales budgets and commercial strategies with leadership.
- Achieve sales and margin targets through effective project execution.
- Lead and coach regional sales team members to achieve and exceed their sales targets.
- Identify, engage, and manage distributors to expand our sales network.
- Analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers in the region.
- Represent Kemin Biologics at industry events and contribute to international portfolio development.
- Coordinate with marketing and technical teams on field trials and customer support.
- Support our partners with technical implementation of vaccines at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (biology, veterinary medicine, chemistry, etc.) and 10+ years’ experience in Veterinary/Animal Health or related business; MS degree preferred.
- Strong scientific curiosity and innovative mindset.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated by achievement.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Fluent in English and French, with additional languages considered a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, online meeting platforms, and CRM tools.
