New York Institute of Technology seeks an Administrative Assistant for the College of Arts& Sciences (CAS) Humanities Department at our NYC campus. Reporting to the Chair of the Humanities Department, this person will provide office and administrative support for the department.
Responsibilities
New York Institute of Technology seeks an Administrative Assistant for the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Humanities Department at our NYC campus. Reporting to the Chair of the Humanities Department, this person will provide office and administrative support for the department.
Responsibilities include
- Assist the department chair in the operation of the office.
- Assist and support department faculty with course scheduling, assignments, copies and proctoring.
- Adjunct and Faculty onboarding, including appointment letters.
- Process instructional and non-instructional compensation of full and part-time faculty.
- Email communications and outlook meeting schedules for department chair.
- Ordering of office supplies, departmental needs, faculty purchases, etc.
- Assist with student/faculty/course issues (registration, scheduling, room changes, final exam scheduling, etc.)
- Collect and store final grades and syllabi.
- Maintain supplies (paper, ink, grade books, etc.) for the department.
- Assist with the planning & execution of special departmental events.
- Other duties as needed and assigned by department chair or CAS dean.
Qualifications
A B.A/B.S. degree is required.
Previous experience in administration is preferred, including working with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Sign.
Previous experience using Workday software is preferred.

USD $47,000.00/Yr.
NYC Maximum Salary
USD $49,000.00/Yr.
