Job description

Support and elevate resort-wide safety programs and training designed to protect employees, guests, and property. You develop, implement, and enforce safety standards and procedures while ensuring full regulatory compliance and accurate reporting. You conduct comprehensive safety inspections across resort operations and affiliated venues, deliver actionable recommendations to leadership, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. You also oversee OSHA-related processes and contribute to ongoing safety committee initiatives and training development.

What You Will Create

  • Accurate OSHA recordkeeping and reporting that ensures full compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Comprehensive safety inspections across resort procedures, wildlife interactions, guest activities, and engineering systems, identifying risks and corrective actions
  • OSHA training programs that strengthen associate knowledge, compliance, and safe work practices
  • Oversight of OSHA inspection processes including abatement actions, informal conferences, and settlement coordination
  • Updated safety programs and training content that reflect current regulations, operational needs, and best practices
  • Job Hazard Analyses that identify risks, establish controls, and support safe operational execution
  • Monthly safety meeting topics for the Resort Safety Committee that reinforce continuous improvement and awareness
  • Clear guidance to leadership through evaluation of safety findings and recommended corrective actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-related field
  • Proven experience with OSHA compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, internet-based software, database systems, and word processing applications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, and business reports
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers through director-level leadership
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical, written, or diagram form and work through varied operational scenarios
