Position Title : Nursing Staff - RN/LPN

Supervisor : Nursing Supervisor, Nursing Dept Team Lead

Position Qualifications

  • Must hold current Ohio Nursing License (LPN or RN)
  • One-year experience preferred
  • Adult/Child CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Interact in a pleasant and professional manner with other employees, physicians, providers, agencies, patients, and patient's families to promote a team effort through cooperation and respect for fellow employees.
  • Must share the responsibility of being on call with other nursing staff unless otherwise specified by Nursing Supervisor
  • Carrying/lifting/transferring (min 50 lb.), communicating, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, attention to detail, memory, and reasoning.
  • Ability to see, hear, feel, and verbalize.
  • May be exposed to fumes/odors, body fluids/blood/tissue.
  • Complete ­­­required hours of Orientation Training and any other ongoing training required by regulations
  • Successful completion of all required criminal background checks.
  • Background checks including but not limited to FBI, BCI, ARCS, SACWIS/ Alleged Perpetrator Search, & National Sex Offender Registry Search
  • An individual is not eligible for employment if either of the following is true:
  • The individual's alleged perpetrator results show a finding of substantiated abuse or neglect within the past ten years.
  • The individual is listed on the national sex offender public website.

Position Requirements

  • Provides basic and emergency nursing care to residents across various settings, including the administration of medication.
  • Performs initial nursing assessments (Registered Nurses only), within 24 hours of admission.
  • Coordinates basic and emergency medical treatment for residents with Nursing Supervisor and/or Director of Necco Center and outside medical sources.
  • Provides training, as necessary, to staff on various nursing-related issues.
  • Attends Treatment Team Meetings, as directed.
  • Maintains regular, on-going contact with appropriate medical and psychiatric consultants regarding individual clinical issues, as directed by the Nursing Supervisor and/or President of Residential Services
  • Serves on various committees for purposes of Quality Assurance.
  • Completes various duties related to charting of services.
  • Assess staff injuries and advise on outside medical attention if required.
  • Registered or licensed nursing staff are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week as appropriate to meet the child's needs. After hours will be covered by an On-Call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage.
