In This Role You Will
- Develops and executes in-service education programs tailored to the specific needs of the senior living community, focusing on areas such as resident care, safety protocols, infection control, medication management, and regulatory compliance topics.
- Ensures training sessions are engaging, informative, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Regularly assesses the effectiveness of in-service programs through evaluations, feedback sessions, and performance metrics. Identifies areas for improvement and implements necessary changes to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Works closely with leadership and external resources to stay informed on best practices, regulations, and industry trends related to senior care.
- Maintains accurate records of in-service training sessions, attendance records, and staff certifications and prepares reports and documentation as required by the organization and regulatory agencies.
- Provides leadership and guidance to staff members, serving as a mentor and resource for process improvement/quality assurance initiatives, professional development, and career advancement.
- Oversees all aspects of Infection Prevention.
- Provides direct support and collaborates with outside partnerships regarding clinical training for CNA programming.
- Responsible for completing NHSN reporting.
- Actively participates in the nursing on-call rotation.
- May be required to work as a floor nurse and/or perform additional functions as needed.
Shift Details
Monday through Friday 8:00a-4:30p
Qualifications
Required: current and valid RN or LPN license in the state, at least three years of clinical experience in senior care, long-term care, or related healthcare setting. Preferred: prior experience conducting clinical and other training content.
