Job Summary

Our team at NetApp develops innovative and unique solutions to assist our customers in solving the challenges of managing and monitoring storage solutions both in the cloud and hybrid environments. About The Role

We are working on Project Astra, which is NetApp's new offering delivering end-to-end application data lifecycle management for cloud native applications hosted on Kubernetes clusters. Astra Control Center is a self-managed on-premise software solution that enables data protection, disaster recovery, and migration for on-premise Kubernetes workloads leveraging NetApp's industry-leading data management technology for snapshots, backups, replication, and cloning. Astra Control Center can optionally be connected to the NetApp Cloud Services for advanced monitoring and insights .

As a Software Engineer in Test on our team, you will work as part of a truly innovative, fun and growing team responsible for developing, testing and debugging our new and existing products and services.

What You Will Do

-Design and develop reliable, scalable and maintainable test automation to validate complex features using Python and possibly Golang

-Drive test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery.

-Communicate and collaborate with the engineering teams to develop automation processes and plans.

-Collaborate with developers to diagnose, debug and perform root­ cause analysis of issues and defects.

-Work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department and company goals.

Job Requirements

-Advanced understanding of Golang.

-Ability to participate in and drive technical discussions with your team and other cross-functional teams.

-Experience interacting with and building web APIs. Experience with RESTful + JSON RPC services.

-Experience writing automated tests and working with test-gated CI/CD pipelines.

-Experience with K8s, esp. app data mgmt, deployment, cloning, backups, monitoring

You might also have

-Proficiency in UI development languages such as VUE, Angular and front-end frameworks.

-Experience working with Python.

-Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

-5-10 years of software development experience

-Experience working with containers in a build and test environment

-A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field

Colorado Residents Only: If the Company determines this role will be performed in Colorado, the starting salary for this position is (.9 compa*). This role could be eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), Company bonus, Employee stock purchase plan, and restricted stocks (RSU’s) *. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
