Shuttle Driver

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
• Safely shuttling employees, applicants, and visitors back and forth between the Security Office, parking area, and Corporate Office Building
• Communicate with security and other employees using a two-way radio system (according to facility guidelines) to communicate pick-ups and arrivals
• Ensure timeliness and consistency of pick-up and drop-off of passengers for this route
• Conduct pre/post trip inspections of the buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions (ex. checking lights, tires, mirrors, fuel and oil levels, body damage, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness of shuttle
• Must be available for on-call work to cover vacations and be called in on short notice when needed
• Must be presentable and have a friendly demeanor to meet and greet passengers
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to drive an automatic transmission vehicle
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record
• Previous shuttle (14 passenger Non-CDL) or professional driving experience is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
