Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our fleet maintenance team. As a vital part of our operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of landscaping equipment and vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in mechanics and grow within a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and repair equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering parts as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
• Have the ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
• Open availability during the winter months due to the unpredictability of winter weather

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanics or related field is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of small engine repair and automotive systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current CDL or ability and willingness to obtain CDL within 1 year of hire

Preferred Skills

• ASE certifications
• Graduation from a trade program or certificate program
• Previous experience with heavy equipment and medium-duty trucks
