Full Job Description & Candidate Specifications Westmac Labour Limited is seeking four skilled and reliable Fencing Operators / Erectors to join our growing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural fencing systems across various project locations in Mayo and surrounding regions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Setting out, measuring, and preparing alignment layouts for fencing installations according to drawings. Excavating ground surfaces, digging post holes manually or utilizing mechanical post-hole augers/drivers. Mixing, pouring, and setting concrete foundations and structural supports for fencing posts. Erecting and securing various fencing types including timber panels, chain-link, palisade, and mesh fencing. Operating hand and power tools safely, including drills, grinders, cutters, and leveling equipment. Conducting repairs and routine maintenance on existing boundary fencing or security enclosures. Ensuring strict compliance with all statutory health, safety, and environmental standards. Handling, loading, and unloading heavy structural fencing materials safely.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of continuous practical experience in fencing installation, groundworks, or general construction. Proven proficiency in using specialized hand tools and commercial fencing gear. Strong physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling, lifting, and outdoor field activities. Excellent teamwork abilities and strong communication skills to coordinate with site foremen. A valid Safe Pass card and Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain them) is highly desirable. A flexible mindset regarding travel across construction sites in the Mayo region.
