Department: Pharmacy Inventory
Reports to: Pharmacy Inventory Operations Lead
Wage Range: $32.32 to $37.26 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance to collective agreement requirements) 
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Statutory Holidays
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Closing Date: July 9, 2026 

Position Summary
As an integral member of the Pharmacy Services Inpatient Inventory Operations Team, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the following:

Duties

  • Responsible for independently performing all technical duties associated with pharmacy inventory control, such as purchasing, receiving, processing invoices, barcoding, labelling, and supporting related inventory management functions
  • Replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned areas
  • Ensuring inventory and related pharmacy data and information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer system
  • Completing all required reports and documentation
  • Attending, participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational functions
  • Performing workload measurement support functions
  • Performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required 
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery
  • Two years practical and related experience preferred
  • Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred
