Charge Entry Technician - Heart and Vascular Clinic (HVC)

Valley View's Heart and Vascular Center is seeking a Full-time Charge Entry Technician to assist with Charge Entry and some medical records.

This job will require in - person training, some in person work; but mainly remote.

Will enter charges for outreach EKGs, Stress Tests, and Echos which will require some medical record management and chart creation in EPIC. Cross train to HIM Specialist required. Will also assist with insurance correction.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

• Performs Charge Entry for HVC clinic and all outreaches
• Assist with Medical Records
• Assists with Insurance Corrections
• Cross Trains to HIM Specialist

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Complete knowledge and back up of job function of billers, scheduler duties (chart creation), and medical records.
• Communicates recurring issues to supervisor for process improvement.
• Completes charge entry for all visits and procedures previously mentioned for Heart and Vascular.
• Assists with auditing charges for procedures Heart and Vascular.
• Enters orders and documentation required for charge entry.

REQUIREMENTS

• Attention to detail
• Consistency and accuracy in routine job functions

PREFERRED

• Experience working in EPIC
• Medical Terminology or Clinical Experience
• Previous Health Information Experience and/or Charge entry preferred.
