Job description

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

Xometry is looking for a Manager, Strategy & Analytics – Business Trends & Sourcing Operation to join our team. You will leverage data, analytics, and strategic insights to help drive growth and operational excellence across Xometry's AI powered marketplace. You will partner with leaders across Sourcing, Financial Services, Product, Partner Operations, and Finance to identify emerging business trends, evaluate strategic initiatives, and develop analytical frameworks that improve marketplace performance. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on analytics. You'll analyze marketplace dynamics, measure the impact of new programs, develop business cases, and create executive-ready insights that inform decisions around supplier engagement, financial services expansion, sourcing operations, and marketplace growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems using data and influencing cross-functional decisions through rigorous analysis. This role is ideal for a leader who combines deep analytical expertise with business acumen and enjoys solving complex marketplace problems using statistics, experimentation, and data. Your work will directly influence product roadmaps, quarterly business priorities, go-to-market initiatives, and company-wide decision making, to support our mission to become the “Everything Store” for custom manufacturing. Working at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and marketplace dynamics, you’ll help shape Xometry’s future while delivering exceptional value to both buyers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor marketplace, customer, supplier, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop executive dashboards and recurring business reviews that provide visibility into marketplace health, financial performance, and operational metrics.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover growth opportunities, operational bottlenecks, and drivers of marketplace performance.
  • Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis and business insights.
  • Analyze sourcing performance across supplier engagement, capacity utilization, lead time, quote response, and marketplace fulfillment.
  • Develop analytical frameworks to monitor supplier network health and identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency, supplier utilization, and gross margin.
  • Support sourcing capacity planning through demand forecasting, operational reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Evaluate sourcing initiatives and operational experiments to quantify business impact and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze adoption, profitability, and operational performance of partner and customer financial services products, including FastPay, prepayment, and payment term offerings.
  • Build business cases and financial models to evaluate new financial services initiatives, pricing structures, and expansion opportunities.
  • Measure the impact of financial products on supplier engagement, customer conversion, working capital, revenue, and margin.
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Operations teams to identify opportunities that improve marketplace liquidity and partner satisfaction.
  • Build scalable KPI dashboards and analytical datasets that enable consistent measurement across Business, Financial Services, and Sourcing organizations.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate business initiatives, pricing changes, operational improvements, and marketplace programs.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Business Intelligence teams to define success metrics and measure outcomes.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders through clear, data-driven narratives.

Qualifications

  • Experience building financial models, business cases, forecasting models, and executive dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of KPI development, operational performance measurement, and business trend analysis.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Operations, or Strategy teams.
