Job Description:

  • Schedule: M-F - hours vary depending on patients, no call, no holidays, no wknds
  • No relocation offered for this role

Directs care staff to provide ongoing education for clinical trials, evidence-based practice, and research developments. Collaborates with affiliate coordinators from contracted research bases to maintain effective communication and working relationships between facilities. Provides education to patients and support partners prior to enrollment and during the clinical trial to ensure compliance and report to the clinical trial base as indicated. Promotes knowledge of clinical trial protocols and pertinent procedures and effects for patients, support partners, and care providers. Meets with clinical trial investigators to ensure screening and eligibility of patients for trials. Provides teaching and arranges indicated care resources and supplies in conjunction with pharmacy and investigator providers. Contacts patients and support partners to follow up on any clinical trial patient. Reviews patient information for pre-existing medical conditions and risk factors. Collaborates with billing, pharmacy, radiology, radiation, and other departments for clinical trial needs to ensure educational initiatives. Educates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to plan and participate in quality initiatives and research projects. Serves as a customer service advocate for patients and support partners. Consistently collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to establish and oversee plans of care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
• Bilingual [Preferred]

Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• N/A

Work Experience:
• 3+ years of oncology experience [Preferred]
• 3+ years recent clinical trial experience in oncology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$65,811.20 - $104,255.04
