Position Summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital seeks a dynamic, Chief Transformation & Operations Officer to serve as the senior executive leader responsible for hospital operations, operational strategy execution, and enterprise performance improvement.

Reporting to the President, the incumbent will drive operational excellence across the organization through disciplined execution, Lean/Six Sigma management principles, and a relentless focus on quality, throughput, workforce engagement, and financial performance. This executive must be a highly visible, data driven, accountable leader with demonstrated success leading complex acute care operations in high performing healthcare environments.

This role requires a builder and operator, not a maintainer.

Job Details

  • Lead day to day hospital operations across clinical support and ancillary departments
  • Drive hospital throughput, capacity management, patient flow, and access optimization
  • Champion Lean management systems, daily management, and continuous improvement infrastructure
  • Build a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and performance ownership
  • Partner with physician and nursing leadership to improve quality, experience, and efficiency
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable operational plans and measurable outcomes
  • Drive labor productivity, expense management, and operational financial performance
  • Lead implementation of strategic growth, capital, and transformation initiatives
  • Ensure regulatory, accreditation, and safety readiness across operational domains
  • Develop and mentor operational leaders to build bench strength and succession pipelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years in senior hospital operations leadership within a complex acute care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior executive operations leadership experience
  • Formal Lean / Six Sigma training required; advanced Lean certification strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean management systems and operational transformation in healthcare.

Salary Range

USD $393,000.00 - USD $475,000.00 /Yr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
