Job description

Job Description

The Veeva Platform Risk Management & Compliance Lead (Associate Director) establishes and operates a trusted, enterprise‑level risk and cyber resiliency assurance capability for the Veeva platform. Success means leadership has clear, continuous visibility into the platform’s security and resilience posture, priority risks are objectively assessed and governed, and remediation or risk‑acceptance decisions are made confidently and proactively - enabling the Veeva Platform & Partnership Team to scale Veeva adoption with speed and confidence.

This role ensures that Veeva is treated as a single, enterprise risk surface, rather than a collection of siloed vaults, and that risk assurance moves from point‑in‑time assessments to sustained governance.

Key responsibilities

Establish and operate an enterprise Veeva platform risk management framework, covering cyber security, resiliency, supplier, and operational risks including IT-focused Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Platform Compliance and Audit Readiness.

Create and maintain a single enterprise risk baseline across all Veeva vaults and divisions

Lead Cyber Resiliency Assurance activities, including deep, multi‑layer reviews of Veeva controls (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS where applicable)

Coordinate platform risk assessments using our company's approach, partnering with ITRMS, MCAAS, QA, GSG, GPO, Architecture, and divisional teams

Identify, assess, and prioritise risks using risk‑based decision frameworks, defining clear remediation or risk‑acceptance paths

Track and report risk remediation progress and residual risk through enterprise governance forums

Establish sustaining risk governance, shifting assurance from one‑off reviews to continuous monitoring and cadence‑based reporting

Partner with Platform Governance, Architecture, and FinOps to enable risk‑informed prioritisation and investment decisions

Act as the platform focal point for Joint Cyber Incident Response (JCIR) coordination with Veeva and our company's cyber teams

Support audit and inspection readiness by ensuring traceability, transparency, and objective evidence of platform risk posture

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

8+ years experience in enterprise risk management, cyber security assurance, technology risk, or IT governance

Preferred: Master's degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience)

Proven experience operating in regulated environments (e.g. pharma, life sciences, health, financial services, or equivalent)

Demonstrated ability to run enterprise‑level risk assessments and assurance programmes, not just local or project‑level activities

Strong experience working across multiple assurance functions (security, audit, quality, risk) in a matrix environment

Ability to communicate complex risk topics clearly to senior leadership and governance forums

Skills & Capabilities

Enterprise risk and cyber resiliency assurance

Risk‑based assessment and prioritisation

Audit, inspection, and regulatory readiness

Stakeholder coordination without direct authority

Clear, executive‑level risk communication
