The Specialist , Fast Turn Blocks & Clonal Products – Blocks is responsible for assisting the value stream Process Owner to monitor and maintain quality, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, and working on process improvement projects.
This position reports to the value stream Process Owner, is part of the Fast Turn Blocks and Clonal Products value stream located in Coralville, Iowa and will be an on-site role. Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
•
Work in tandem with the Value Stream Process Owner to monitor process quality using standard dsDNA sequences and QC trending.
•
Participate in/support DBS events as needed.
•
Collect and analyze data collected during process improvement initiatives as well as troubleshoot processing issues in the lab as they arise.
The essential requirements of the job include
•
Bachelor’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
•
3 years lab experience and full understanding of value stream process flow, preferably at IDT.
•
Knowledge of PCR and familiarity with liquid handling automation platforms.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
•
Preparation of NGS submission samples and analysis of process monitoring sequences.
•
Performing end user testing of relevant reagents.
•
Manipulating equipment control software to customize process flow.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
