Job description

Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Cyber Security and keen to build your career in a growing, high-impact area?

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Security Specialist to join our Information Security function at Sopra Steria. In this role, you’ll help manage and reduce risks associated with third-party suppliers, playing a key part in protecting systems, data and client environments. You’ll be joining a supportive and developing team where you can gain hands-on experience and build your expertise in third-party risk management and cyber security.

This role will initially require some onsite presence in the Hampshire area, with the opportunity to work predominantly remotely longer term, alongside occasional travel to site as needed. We offer strong career development opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative environment where continuous learning is encouraged.

What you'll be doing

  • Assessing new and existing third-party suppliers by reviewing their security controls and associated risks.
  • Supporting procurement, commercial and project teams to understand and manage supplier-related cyber risks.
  • Monitoring supplier risk using tools such as Bitsight and producing clear, meaningful reports.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of supply chain security processes and policies.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline ways of working and introduce automation.
  • Supporting the response to supply chain-related security incidents.

What you’ll bring

  • An interest in cyber security, information security or risk management.
  • Awareness of risks relating to cloud services, SaaS and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

It would be great if you had

  • Exposure to security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or National Cyber Security Centre guidance.
  • Understanding of third-party risk management concepts.
  • Experience working with structured processes such as onboarding, compliance or risk assessments.
  • Awareness of data protection principles such as General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Interest in security tooling or risk platforms.

If you’re interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!
