Job Details

Performs Import / Export / NCTS customs clearance Maintains contact with customs / government authorities and external brokers

Responsibilities

•

All tasks are completed in a correct, timely, rapid and cost-efficient manner

•

Shipments are custom cleared through E-DEC (Electronic Declaration)

•

Customer and World Courier office needs are fulfilled in accordance with Swiss customs regulations

•

Creates customs files and handles customs clearance

•

Replies to “ok to send” queries from offices abroad

•

Reviews paperwork prior to shipment dispatch

•

Handles pre-advised shipments and TMS notes

•

Uses relevant regulations and technical tools

•

Communicates with World Courier stations/agents

•

Maintains relationships with transporters, suppliers, airlines and government agencies

.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

•

Commercial apprenticeship or similar in transportation industry

•

Several years of experience in international airfreight/customs brokerage

•

Strong customer focus and quality orientation

•

Native or fluent German

•

Advanced English (minimum B2)

•

Good IT skills
