We're seeking an exceptional Head of Brand, Media & Content to shape how millions of customers experience our brand every day.
This is a rare opportunity to lead the intersection of brand strategy, creative development, media investment, content strategy and marketing transformation within a large-scale, customer-centric organisation. You will define how the Coles’ brand shows up in market and influence critical commercial outcomes. We're looking for a leader who combines creative instinct with commercial rigour: someone who can develop breakthrough ideas, build organisational alignment around them, and demonstrate their impact on business performance.
About the role
As Head of Brand, Content & Media, you will own the end-to-end strategy for how the brand communicates with customers across every touchpoint. You will lead the development of integrated brand, creative, media and content strategies that drive customer engagement, strengthen brand preference and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong influence across commercial, digital, customer, transformation and executive stakeholder groups.
•
Define and lead the Coles' brand strategy and customer communication framework.
•
Develop compelling creative platforms and campaigns that drive both brand and commercial outcomes.
•
Optimise media investment and marketing effectiveness through data-driven decision making.
•
Drive stronger value from agency, platform and strategic partner relationships.
•
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, AI capabilities and new ways of working to increase speed, effectiveness and efficiency.
•
Lead and develop high-performing brand, content and marketing teams.
About You
You are an accomplished marketing leader who is equally comfortable discussing creative ideas, customer behaviour and commercial performance. You have built brands, led significant campaigns and understand how to connect marketing investment to business outcomes. Most importantly, you know how to bring people with you: creating clarity, alignment and momentum across complex stakeholder environments.
•
Extensive experience leading brand and marketing strategy within a large consumer-facing business.
•
Deep expertise across creative, media and content strategy.
•
Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership and marketing investment accountability.
•
Proven ability to influence senior executives and align diverse stakeholder groups.
•
Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
Why this role?
This is an opportunity to influence one of Australia's most recognisable brands at a pivotal moment. You will have the platform to shape customer engagement at scale, build future-fit marketing capabilities, leverage emerging technologies, and leave a lasting impact on both brand performance and business growth. If you're a commercially minded brand leader with strong creative instincts and a passion for building brands that matter, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
