Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, leading operational teams, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring shipments are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer expectations and company standards.

This role plays a key part in driving service excellence, continuous improvement and operational profitability while supporting the development of high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Oversee transportation, customs clearance and coordination with Airlines, agents and logistics partners.

Monitor shipments proactively, anticipating and resolving potential issues before they impact delivery.

Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards (ISO/GxP) and regulatory requirements.

Manage operational KPIs, costs and performance metrics to drive efficiency and profitability.

Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures (SOPs) and ensure team training and compliance.

Support audits, quality initiatives, CAPA management and continuous improvement projects.

Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, customs authorities and key stakeholders.

Lead, coach and develop team members through performance management, feedback and training.

Partner with Sales and Customer Service teams to support customer needs and identify operational solutions.

Provide training and oversee special projects as assigned (e.g., audits, route optimization, process mapping, KPI implementation).

Monitor and influence operational vendor performance (customs brokers, airlines, agents and related providers) against service level expectations; lead vendor meetings when necessary and escalate performance issues as required.

What We're Looking For

Education

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, International Relations or a related field.

A postgraduate degree in Supply Chain or related areas is desirable.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environments (procedures, records, audits, continuous improvement) is preferred.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in logistics, operations, customer service or supply chain management.

Previous experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or specialized logistics is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel.

English proficiency is desirable.

Knowledge of customs regulations and international transportation processes is a plus.

Ability to multitask and manage workflow across multiple shipments, vendors, and stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills (coaching, delegation, accountability, performance management).

Planning, organization, and time management skills.

Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Ensure relevant and applicable regulations, guidelines, and internal standards are followed; support implementation of new regulations, customer requirements, and operational technologies/process improvements.
