Senior Electrical Engineer (k/m)
Place of Work: Warsaw Office (after 3 month onboarding period, hybrid system - 2 days home office / 3 days Warsaw Office).
Type of contract: contract of employment (B2B contract isn't possible)
Position Summary
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you must have solid experience in electrical systems and layout design. Will be capable of developing design documents, including single lines, load lists, and equipment data sheets, that incorporate the applicable design. In addition, it will be required that the candidate have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), promoting our leadership, quality, and safety values, to external partners including vendors, construction companies, and other subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Performs Electrical Systems engineering activities, which may include the use of ETAP.
- Individual must have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line drawings, schematics, and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
- Works under the direction of Engineering Group Supervisor.
- Performs special tasks, calculations/studies and user guides.
- Responsible to produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope.
- Conducts checking as required.
- Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks.
- Ability to understand and interpret local/Polish and European codes and standards.
- Provide additional support to customer in the interactions with the TSO through participation in virtual workshops.
- Ability to communicate with the Transmission System Operator (TSO) and customer on requirements to support the switchyard design.
- Ability to coordinate with Polish sub-contractor and review sub-contractor deliverables to support Electrical design.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a team and providing support as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Grade 26: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of related electrical engineering experience.
- Grade 27: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 13 years of related electrical engineering experience.
- Must be authorized to live and work in country without sponsorship.
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License (Electrical).
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
- Hands-on Microsoft office programs and other computer programs.
- Extensive knowledge application of ANSI/IEEE Standards.
- Extensive knowledge application of local/Polish and European codes and standards.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing.
- Previous hands-on or extensive working knowledge with ETAP and other industry-wide electrical system design tools, such as CAD 2D, cable designing and routing software.
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
