Join the Dermatology team as a Mohs Surgical Assistant (MA-C)!

Must have active Medical Assistant-Certified credential from Washington State Department of Health

Hiring Wage: generally between $25.30-$30.70 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience

Location: Gateway Two (2621 NE 134th Street – Vancouver, WA 98686)

Part-Time Schedule (32 hours/week): 7:30a-4:00p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Wednesday off after successful completion of training)

We require our employees to adhere to our attendance standards, as frequent deviations make it difficult to provide care for our patients and support our coworkers. 

In this role you will ensure that instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized and available as needed, provide hands-on assisting with Mohs procedures and wound closures/repairs, and assist with lab/pathology processing of Mohs specimens.  In addition, the Mohs assistant will assist the dermatology providers in day-to-day dermatology patient flow. Dermatology experience, preferred.

Requirements:

  • Active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified

  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.

  • Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices.

  • Two years of experience in an outpatient surgery center, Mohs dermatology practice, or office-based surgery department preferred.

Pay Range:

$21.81 - $30.53
