Company Introduction Our client is an international food ingredients company specializing in high-quality flavouring solutions for the food and beverage industry. With a strong global presence and established expertise in product innovation, the company supports customers across multiple markets through technical know-how, commercial insight, and close collaboration with local partners. As part of its continued growth in South Korea, the company is looking to strengthen its local market presence by hiring a Sales Manager who can develop customer relationships, support distributor-led sales activities, and identify new business opportunities across the country. The role will work closely with regional and global teams to ensure strong market execution and long-term commercial development. Role The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in South Korea by developing relationships with end customers, supporting ongoing customer projects, and working closely with the company’s local distribution partner. This is a hands-on commercial role combining sales development, customer engagement, technical support, market analysis, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will act as the key local point of contact for sales activities in South Korea and will represent the company in front of customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Area Responsibilities Sales Development Drive product sales in South Korea both directly and through the local distributor. Customer Management Build and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage manufacturers, flavor houses, and other end users. Project Follow-up Manage and follow up on product development projects with customers and the distributor. Distributor Support Provide technical, marketing, and commercial support to distributor teams. Market Intelligence Prepare regular reports on market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and sales performance. Forecasting & Reporting Monitor sales results, support forecasting accuracy, and submit regular sales activity reports. Training & Presentations Deliver sensory training, product presentations, and marketing sessions to customers and distributor teams. Internal Coordination Work closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment on technical, commercial, and strategic priorities. Industry Representation Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and relevant industry events. Profile Requirements The ideal candidate should have previous sales experience within the food ingredients, flavorings, food and beverage, or related B2B sectors. Experience working with distributors, food manufacturers, flavor houses, or product development teams would be highly valuable. Requirement Details Commercial mindset Strong ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, and drive sales growth. Food industry knowledge Understanding of food ingredients, flavor solutions, food manufacturing, or product development processes. Distributor management Ability to work effectively with local distributors and support joint sales execution. Customer-facing skills Comfortable visiting customers, presenting products, and discussing technical or commercial requirements. Project management Able to follow up on multiple customer projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting ability Capable of preparing clear sales reports, market trend updates, and performance reviews. Communication skills Strong communication skills in Korean and English. Independence Able to work autonomously in South Korea while reporting to regional management. Travel readiness Willingness to travel regularly within South Korea for customer visits, distributor meetings, and market development activities.
