1. Job Purpose:
To ensure that all mechanical work is completed safely and meets our required standards of maintenance.
2. Principal Accountabilities:
- Work closely with operation team and contractor to complete preventative maintenance plan and day to day troubleshooting to keep plant running stable.
- Review all mechanical specification sheets and engineering drawings provided by engineering firms.
- Assist Maintenance Engineers in the design, preparation of the mechanical part of engineering documents.
- Participant in the procurement of mechanical equipment, visiting equipment manufacturers.
- Follow construction of plant improvement projects.
- Minimize production downtime by overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities.
- Take a lead role in problem solving mechanical issues and recommending improvements to the Maintenance Engineers.
- Develop and deliver mechanical training packages for HPS employees and contract Staff.
- Audit the performance of the contractors providing mechanical support to HPS.
- To build up good relationship and work closely with contractors.
- To keep Maintenance Repairing Records and maintain “One Equipment One Folder”.
- Efficiently use SAP system to schedule and track work orders. Create, effectively plan and schedule daily maintenance work.
- Responsible for developing & updating and maintenance standard work orders based on industry standards, SMPs& WIs.
- Assistant maintenance engineer to supervise main contractor team daily management.
3. Special Features
The Plants contain toxic chemicals. Equipment integrity is therefore our highest priority.
A detailed understanding of equipment & system and maintaining its integrity is of paramount importance.
The jobholder must have experience in the chemical manufacturing process model, maintenance management for process industry. The focus of the role is the application of a combination of individual & group skills, and tools & techniques, which together enable assigned equipment& system to be integrity.
The job holder must show significant levels of interfacing skills which will enable assigned equipment& system to be managed efficiently.
4. Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed
- At least three years of experience in rotating equipment management in a chemical plant.
- Practical knowledge of chemical plant maintenance practices and mechanical codes commensurate with experience
- Proficient at active face to face communications skills at a senior and operator level as required.
- Draws inferences from maintenance information with some guidance.
- Practical knowledge of chemical plant maintenance commensurate with experience and preferably in a high-volume continuous environment.
- Self-driven, teamwork oriented, and work under pressure.
- College diploma or above with basic English proficiency; a solid foundation, hands-on learning ability, and willingness to develop are preferred.
