General Description
Coordinate planning activities and drive continuous improvement of operational processes to ensure the achievement of WNC's established goals and objectives. Monitor and control production levels for assigned manufacturing areas. Ensure adherence to the site's production strategy and scheduling requirements by considering material availability, Oracle metrics, open order tracking, production cycle times, lead-time reduction initiatives, and collaboration with Purchasing and Materials Management.
Key Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
Analyze production schedules in collaboration with the Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse departments.
Develop production plans by considering estimated lead times for the various activities and processes that impact production planning.
Actively participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support adjustments to production plans and schedules due to maintenance activities, staffing constraints, or other factors that may impact site operations.
Manage the activities required to ensure customer sales orders are delivered on time, with the required quality standards and quantities.
Review and follow up on Oracle Material Master issues while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of master data.
Drive COGI cleanup activities, with priorities focused on variance analysis, COGI prevention, root cause analysis, and cycle count execution.
Manage communication related to order processing and ensure best practices are followed throughout the order management process.
Establish production plan priorities to maximize operational efficiency while minimizing delays.
Collaborate closely with Quality, Warehouse, and supporting departments to ensure material availability and achieve site operational metrics.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelor's degree completed.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Planner/Scheduler or similar production planning role.
Knowledge of ERP transactions including Purchase Order (PO) Receipts, SLOC Transfers, and Backflush transactions.
Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, multilevel BOMs, bulk materials, supply chain processes, and related manufacturing concepts.
Working knowledge of Oracle/SAP transaction codes such as CO11N, CO03, and COGI.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience in production control and manufacturing planning.
Experience in material planning and inventory management.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and/or Oracle.
