Overview
Game District is looking for a Mid to Senior App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist to drive organic growth and maximize the visibility of our mobile games across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ASO, store conversion optimization, keyword strategy, creative optimization, and market analysis to improve app discoverability, conversion rates, and organic installs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute ASO strategies to improve app visibility, keyword rankings, and organic growth across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Optimize app metadata, including titles, descriptions, keywords, and localization to maximize discoverability.
- Improve store conversion rates through creative optimization of icons, screenshots, feature graphics, and preview videos.
- Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to continuously optimize store performance.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and market research to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
- Generate creative ideas for new game store listings based on industry trends and user behavior.
- Collaborate closely with designers to create polished, high-converting store assets.
- Monitor and analyze ASO performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve rankings, installs, and conversion rates.
- Work closely with User Acquisition, Product, and Creative teams to align ASO strategies with game launches and live operations.
- Stay up to date with App Store and Google Play algorithm changes, ASO best practices, and mobile gaming trends.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of experience in App Store Optimization (ASO) , preferably within the mobile gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of Google Play Store and Apple App Store ranking algorithms and ASO best practices.
- Proven experience in keyword research, metadata optimization, and store listing optimization.
- Experience improving store conversion rates (CVR) through creative optimization and A/B testing.
- Hands-on experience with ASO tools such as Sensor Tower, data.ai (App Annie), MobileAction, ASOdesk , or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Firebase and Google Analytics .
- Good understanding of mobile gaming KPIs, including Installs, Conversion Rate (CVR), CPI, Retention, and LTV .
- Strong knowledge of mobile gaming market trends and competitor analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
