Job Purpose
We are looking for a strategically minded and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to take full ownership of products within the Tridion Sites suite of products. This is a high-impact role with broad influence across engineering, design, sales, customer success, and executive leadership. You will define what gets built, why it matters, and ensure it gets done.
You will operate in a complex environment—balancing the needs of a large, sophisticated existing customer base with the demands of a rapidly evolving WCM and DXP market. You must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at cutting through organisational complexity, and relentless in driving clarity, momentum and delivery.
Job Overview
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the multi-year product vision and strategy for Tridion Sites.
- Conduct continuous market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer research to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
- Translate complex market dynamics into a coherent, compelling product narrative for internal and external audiences.
- Champion a clear point of view on the future of enterprise WCM, headless architecture, and composable digital experience.
Roadmap Ownership & Prioritisation
- Own the product roadmap end-to-end—from strategic horizon planning to quarterly delivery commitments.
- Apply rigorous prioritisation and make defensible decisions under competing pressures.
- Balance new capability development, platform modernisation, technical debt, and customer commitments with clear rationale.
- Maintain a living roadmap that communicates intent, not just features—understandable to engineers, executives, and customers alike.
Customer & Market Insight
- Build deep relationships with strategic customers, partners, and prospects to generate authentic insight into unmet needs and evolving expectations.
- Lead discovery activities including customer interviews, advisory boards, co-creation workshops, and usability research.
- Represent the voice of the customer in every product forum, resisting the pull of internal opinions untethered from evidence.
Execution & Delivery Leadership
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering leads to define clear, outcome-focused requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Remove blockers, resolve ambiguity, and make fast decisions to keep delivery moving—without compromising product quality or strategic direction.
- Operate effectively within an agile environment: own the backlog, be available to the team, and provide timely, decisive input.
- Hold yourself and the team accountable to commitments, escalating early when timelines or scope are at risk.
Stakeholder Alignment & Influence
- Navigate a complex matrix of internal stakeholders including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Success, and leadership.
- Build trust and credibility through transparency, consistency, and demonstrated follow-through—not positional authority.
- Communicate roadmap, strategy, and product decisions with clarity and confidence across all levels of the organisation.
- Actively manage conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations, bringing clarity and alignment rather than deferring decisions upward.
Go-to-Market Collaboration
- Work with Product Marketing to define positioning, messaging, launch plans, and sales enablement materials.
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales with deep product expertise, competitive differentiation, and customer-facing product narratives.
- Define and track adoption and commercial metrics for new features, iterating based on in-market evidence.
- Represent Tridion Sites externally at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer engagements.
Platform & Ecosystem Thinking
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Tridion Sites architecture and technical landscape to make informed product decisions.
- Evaluate integration opportunities with the broader RWS product portfolio, third-party DXP components, and partner ecosystems.
- Contribute to API strategy and extensibility decisions that affect how customers and partners build on the platform.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a complex B2B software product as a Senior PM or above.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering strategic product initiatives end-to-end, from vision to in-market impact.
- Deep experience working with enterprise customers and navigating long sales cycles, complex procurement, and high-stakes customer relationships.
- A background in WCM, DXP, CMS, or adjacent enterprise software—or the ability to demonstrate rapid domain mastery.
- Experience driving alignment across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success without formal authority.
- Comfort with both qualitative research and quantitative analysis—you are equally at home in a customer interview and a data dashboard.
- Experience working in or alongside agile engineering teams; strong backlog management and grooming discipline.
