Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Assistant Occupational Therapist, you will provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patient's plan of care, all under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.Every day you will deliver care and service to a diverse patient population, ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served, ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being.
- Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
- Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
- Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
- Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
- Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
- Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.

- Diploma Graduate of an School of CertifiedOccupational Therapy Assistant Training, upon hire and
- Occupational Therapy Assistant: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
Preferred
- Prior OT experience
- Orthopaedic Technologist Certified, upon hire
