Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
- Licensure in your field (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, etc)
- At least one year experience providing counseling to youth
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administers individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.
- Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families.
- Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate behavioral health and other needed services including coordination with appropriate juvenile court representatives.
- Responsible for maintaining an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents.
- Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals.
- Provides 24/7 crisis intervention availability on a rotation basis to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions which could lead to out of home treatment.
